In part one of this blog series dedicated to highlighting the details of our Northern Virginia home remodeling process at Daniels Design & Remodeling, we discussed step one, the Feasibility Study.
While we’d encourage you to go back and read part one in its entirety if you can find the time, we’ll provide you with a quick summary of what all the Feasibility Study entails:

Essentially, the long and short of it is that you can expect to meet the team, they’ll measure the project, and we’ll create up to three unique design concepts for you to choose from!
Choose Your Design
Choosing your design has fewer facets than the Feasibility Study is comprised of. Nevertheless, it remains perhaps the most important step of the process because it is the part where you, the customer, gets to shine most of all. At the end of the day, if we aren’t putting our customers first, we aren’t doing it the right way. We could have the greatest collection of talented craftspeople, designers, and tradespeople (and we would argue that we actually do!), but if we aren’t customer-centric in our approach, it’s all in vain.
Therefore, keep reading to learn what you can expect in terms of selecting a project design and plan that matches your investment terms along with taste and style!
After we’ve completed all steps of the Feasibility Study, we’ll schedule a visit to our Fairfax office that aligns with your schedule. When we present the conceptual designs we’ve prepared for you, we’ll include a palette of coordinating selections, materials, and products based on the stylistic conversations we’ve already had with you. Next, you make the choice that meets your needs in terms of style, function, and budget!
After you decide on the plan you like the most, it’s time to authorize a fixed investment construction agreement. This contract entails the final total, approximate duration of the project, and specific terms for the construction of the project that we have discussed with you.
While this is subject to happen at different points in the strategizing and creative design phases of the process, we want you to keep in might that you are able to change anything you’d like to. Whether it be the floor plan or something minute, such as choosing an environmentally-friendly material or product, you are encouraged to make such adjustments during this time.
If adjustments need to be made after the agreement has been authorized, we will create an addendum to your construction agreement so that all our ducks are in a row and we can move forward!

We allow you to select from up to three concepts, deciding on specific selections while making sure you reserve the right to adjust down the road if and when the time comes. Ultimately, we want to make sure our readers and prospective customers remember that we do everything in our power to put the customer’s needs at the heart of all decisions. We make a point to be diligent in our communication during all phases of the home redesign project.
